Beyond the Field: Boston Glory, BE Ultimate, and UFA Championship Weekend

The UFA Championship Weekend once again showed why this league is one of the most exciting in professional ultimate. At BE, we’re proud to sponsor such an incredible event and to support a league that pushes the sport forward, showcasing some of the best athletes in the world.
Boston's big Moment
This year, Boston Glory captured their first-ever UFA title with a 17–15 victory over the Minnesota Wind Chill in Madison. Their journey—from an expansion team in 2021 to champions in 2025—shows the power of persistence, growth, and belief.

Why This Partnership Matters
For us, this partnership is about more than just apparel. We aim to give athletes the best gear possible so they can perform at their highest level, move with confidence, and look good doing it. Supporting the UFA is part of legitimizing the sport and helping it continue to grow.
BE The Change Award
Championship Weekend also highlights the values that make ultimate special. The BE The Change Award, honors a player each year who makes a positive impact in their community.
The 2025 recipient is Boston Glory’s Malachi Raymond, recognized for his remarkable work in teaching ultimate to youth after suffering a season-ending injury. Raymond reached nearly 3,000 children across more than 20 clinics and events in the Boston area, partnering with organizations like the Special Olympics, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and BUDA to expand access to the sport. For Boston, 2025 was a milestone year both on and off the field—the team lifted its first UFA championship trophy while also celebrating one of its own being recognized as a community leader. It was a reminder that the Glory’s impact reaches far beyond wins and losses, extending into the growth of the sport and the lives it touches.
Past winners include Terry Gaither (2024), Rafael Castro (2023), Joe Anderson (2022), and Dylan DeClerck (2021). The award underscores that greatness in ultimate isn’t only measured by titles—it’s also measured by leadership, inclusivity, and community impact.
Honorable All Stars
Another highlight of the weekend was the PUL vs. WUL All-Star Game, where BE Ultimate had two sponsored athletes face off: Dena Elimelech and Jolie Krebs. On opposing teams, they went head-to-head alongside some of the very best players in women’s ultimate. The matchup gave fans a taste of the elite skill, intensity, and creativity these athletes bring to the game.
