Meet Rupal
Known for her speed and playmaking abilities, Ghelani was set for a meteoric 2020 after selections for both the U24 and Senior GB squads. While COVID might have put a pause on the events themselves, there's been no letting up for Ghelani's training regime. After narrowly missing out on European Youth Player of the Year award, Rupal's motivated and primed to make an impact on the biggest stage at the senior level. Rupal started as a leading force on SYC in 2019 and then evolved to captain the squad from 2021 to 2023. She did this while also playing on the Great Britain team where she transitioned to a coaching position in 2023 to give back to the team that taught her so much. In addition to her accomplishments, she also participated in the Minority Ethnic Showcase Project (MESH) in North London in 2021.
