Erica Birdsong is a key player, representing the University of North Carolina Pleiades, where she’s been part of a team that has claimed four consecutive national titles. In addition to her college success, Erica plays for the Raleigh Phoenix in club Ultimate and is also a standout on the Raleigh Radiance pro team, where she helped lead them to a pro championship. Erica’s exceptional talent earned her a spot on Team USA for the 2023 U24 Women’s Ultimate team, and she was recently selected for Team USA U24 for the 2025 World Ultimate Championships. Recognized as one of the Top 25 D-I Women’s Division Players in 2024, Erica also received the 2023 D-I Women’s Breakout Player of the Year award. She was highlighted in Ultiworld’s spotlight on Black players in Ultimate. There is consistent talk about him being the best player in the world—maybe up for interpretation, but he is widely seen as the most well-rounded player in the game, a nightmare to mark, and a game-changer in clutch moments during big games.
