Setting the Standard: Ultiworld’s Top College Players

BE Ultimate is thrilled to celebrate two athletes recognized with Ultiworld’s top honors: Mika Kurahashi (D-I Women’s Player of the Year) and Peter Mans (D-III Men’s Player of the Year). Both delivered standout seasons and were driving forces behind their teams' success.

Mika Kurahashi | D-I Women's POTY

Mika Kurahashi capped off a dominant season with the top honor in the division. A key player for UBC, Vancouver Red Flag, and Team Canada, she added a silver medal at WUC and earned a spot on the 2025 World Games roster.

Her cutting ability has become one of the most feared in the sport—her speed, timing, and field sense consistently left defenders chasing. Even against tight matchups, she created space and delivered in high-pressure moments. With a resume that includes multiple All-American honors and a Top 25 selection, this award reflects the complete impact Mika had all year long.

Peter Mans | D-III Men's POTY

Peter Mans played a central role in Middlebury’s season, leading the Pranksters on both sides of the disc. With 10 goals, 20 assists, and 9 blocks at Nationals, he was a difference-maker in every phase of the game.

His adaptability and decision-making kept opponents off balance, whether initiating offense or locking down on defense. Mans brought consistency, leadership, and composure to a team that relied on him in the biggest moments—earning him well-deserved recognition as the best in the division.

We’re proud to support Mika and Peter—two athletes who continue to raise the standard for excellence in ultimate.
