Q: What is motivating you for 2019?
A: Having my sister back on the field with me after her injury really motivates me to work hard this season and to see what we can achieve together!
Q: What does your training regiment look like?
A: I’m starting to get into the habit of going to the gym working on plyometrics and strength. I play 2-3 days of ultimate every week which is really helping my cardio.
Q: Who inspires you on your team and in the ultimate community as a whole?
A: Laura Mason has been such an inspiration for me throughout my ultimate career. She has always been someone I looked up to even before my career with traffic. She’s such a dominant player with so much heart, it's an honor to say that she’s now my teammate!
Q: What is your mindset when you take the field?
A: My mindset when I take the field is clear and focused. When I'm in the zone, I play my best.
Q: What do you do outside of ultimate?
A: Outside of ultimate, I study Criminology and also work in fashion hoping to one day make some of my own clothes!
Q: What is something you are very passionate about that you think people should be more educated on?
A: Find a hobby or skill that you enjoy and foster it. I love playing sports, I am quite lucky to be naturally athletic. Ultimate was a sport that I have fostered and love to play.
Q: What tournaments are you attending this year?
A: This year I’m attending Worlds in Germany with Team Canada and CUC/USAU series hopefully with Traffic!
Q: What are your goals for 2019?
A: Being my last cycle of U24 I’m motivated to work hard to win gold with my ladies representing Canada!
Q: What are three pieces of advice you would tell yourself when you first started play?A:
- Work hard and encourage others.
- Be confident! The biggest opponent that could take you down is yourself.
- Be modest in victory and gracious in defeat.
Q: What does better than ever mean to you?
A: Better than ever means to always bring out the best in yourself and others.
